Same issue here: the 1080 version is fine, anyway.
Its not just you ... popping sound throughout.
i really wish they'd check these before uploading, the movies might be free but download bandwidth isn't.

Excellent video clarity but degrades slightly in dimly lit scenes. Audio volume is kind of low. DAR is pretty narrow, more so than 2.39:1. Best 1GB version your going to find though. Working subs. Thank you
